Reverend Cass F. Santos, Jr., 87, formerly of Lake Meade, PA, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg.
He was born January 1, 1926 in New York, NY the son of the late Cass F. Sr. and Violet (Monish) Santos.
Reverend Santos was the widower of Mildred R. (Toms) Santos.
Reverend Santos was the founding pastor and former member of Bible Baptist Church, Shiremanstown. He also was a former pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Sealcove, ME and Calvary Baptist Church, Richmond, Hill, NY. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Dillsburg and former teacher at Harrisburg School of the Bible. He served on the board of Baptist Mid-Missions. Reverend Santos was a graduate of Columbia University and Baptist Bible Seminary. He served his country in the United States Army during W.W. II.
He is survived by two sons, Stevan F. Santos of Hummelstown and Cass Bruce Santos of Franklintown; one daughter, Lauralie F. Brock of New Cumberland. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held next Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10:00 am in Bible Baptist Church, 201 W. Main St., Shiremanstown, PA. Burial will be held privately in the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
