KCEA gave an update on the DPW regulations. As of Friday, August 13, the Department of Public Welfare has withdrawn their proposed regulations. Reasons cited by the DPW were economics, costs, and quality. The DPW does not have a timetable to re-draft the rule-making.
Action items
~ Spread the word to the people under your leadership and within the scope of your influence.
~ Educate your legislators about the issue and encourage them to oppose similar regulations in the future.
~ Keep in mind other groups of like faith/mind who would stand jointly with many others against such regulations.
